Like most children of the 1970s, I was a fan of Soul Train. If you were a fan of Soul Train, you were also a fan of the theme song, “TSOP” (The Sound of Philadelphia).

TSOP was the theme song from 1973-1975. Composed by my musical heroes, Leon Huff and Kenny Gamble, “TSOP” hit number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in the spring of 1974.

Many Disco DJs also championed TSOP. It was always in my music box. I didn’t play it every week, but It was still on hand in case the evening moved in that direction. My remix is available as an exclusive download.
